First Looks at the Ranch | Leo Carrillo Ranch

Having a wedding at the Ranch comes with many perks, mainly the grounds itself! The original architecture gives it that rustic and Spanish charm, along with the beautiful landscape that surrounds the venue. With over 20 acres of land, our couples take advantage of all areas that the Ranch has to offer when it comes to the perfect backdrop for their photos.

When it comes to the First Look, this is one of the most special moments for the bride and groom, and having the right location means everything. Take a look from past weddings at the different spots that photographers have used to create that picture perfect First Look!

Our courtyard is one of the most popular locations for the First Look. The luscious bougainvillea  makes a statement for any photo op!

The front of the Hacienda gives the photo that romantic and Spanish feel to the First Look.

A first look with pathways, greenery and tons of cacti calls for that rustic indulgence!

And we have those photographers who love Dee Dee’s House for an intimate and secluded first look.

Fall beauty played a part at the Ranch for LM + D’s big day! Everything was flawlessly styled from the bridal party dressed in all black, to the burgundy tones and the blush water goblets that gave the perfect accent touch at the reception. Petal Envy created simple, yet awe-inspiring floral pieces – including that bouquet!  DJ Bill Calhoun always impresses us with his engaging charisma and beats on the dance floor. Overall, this 11-11 wedding was a wish come true for this couple!

We couldn’t have asked for a better couple on our last wedding of the season! Their fall colors fit perfectly with their rustic theme; From farm tables, terrarium centerpieces and a mariachi band,  A + A’s day was definitely one for the books.

We love weddings that bring simple and effortless to a whole new level. The Ranch itself is already spectacular with the rawness of rustic elements, so giving it a touch of soft color schemes connects perfectly like what A + S did to their big day. Their ceremony was kept to just reciting their vows under our Pepper Tree, nothing but the natural beauty of our ceremony space, and the reception was equipped with white and greenery.

A’s bridesmaids fashioned different tones of pinks, paired with bouquets of flowing eucalyptus and white roses. With the beautiful bride, she made simple and white mesmerizing from start to end!

Kudos to the talented Walter Wilson Studios for capturing this beautiful November wedding! The execution for J + A’s big day hit the spot with charming details, dashing floral, and lets not forget J’s jaw dropping wedding dress and train – absolutely stunning! Their color scheme set the tone for this fall season throughout the venue, and towards the end of the night, DJ Sage kept their guests on their feet with laughter and smiles to a perfect ending.

We had the pleasure of celebrating C + J’s wedding in a beautiful fall setting. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day memorable for these two. From their bouquets and centerpieces, Fantasy Floral Design created breath taking work. DJ Nick Weiss kept the entertainment alive on the dance floor, and thanks to Lisa Marie Photography, we were able to witness it all through her captured shots. It was definitely fitting for a gorgeous couple to share their day with us at our gorgeous Ranch!

Every detail counts when planning a wedding. For A + J, their day was filled with glorifying beauty at the Ranch with how exceptional everything came together. A fully bloomed garland vined artistically around our  Pepper Tree for their ceremony, a simple but brimful display of burgundy and greenery floral made for a show stopping reception, along with a pop of gold mixed chargers for a defining accent to the tables. Not only did they present an appealing dessert bar for their guests, they thanked them with an additional sweet treat stop – a candy bar! This couple’s wedding was another one for the books that was irresistible to not share! Thank you to everyone who played a part in their big day!

To another dreamy day at the Ranch! Family and friends were joined together for A + A’s wedding that brought vintage, gold, and beauty in every form. CBS Lifestyle Stylist accented the venue with their floral and other little details. The SD Photo Bus parked their VW Bus that added that vintage flare that we love at the Ranch for a fun photobooth for their guests. Congratulations to A + A!

Yes! We are so excited to share K + A’s wedding! Seriously, we could not forget a couple like them, with their genuine personalities and their supply of character. Their smiles were so contagious that you could tell from each photo that Shane + Lauren Photography captured had nothing but pure love and happiness. We also couldn’t get over their love of baseball – one team in particular! – and the dashing choice of colors that spread throughout the Ranch. Dahlias, Marigolds, succulents and draping Eucalyptus made for an elegant statement from the ever-talented, The Dainty Lion. K + A definitely knew how to keep their guests on their feet with endless dancing and laughter. A tasty dessert bar finished off for a sweet ending, just like these two. To say we were happy to be apart of their special day was definitely an understatement!
